We take privacy seriously at Taylor Osborne and we collect, hold and process data under the lawful basis of Legitimate Interest for the purpose of Executive Search / Talent Mapping.

We collect the information necessary to be able to match candidate’s talent, skills and experience to research & talent mapping projects our clients have asked us to support them with.

What personal data we collect?

We may collect the following information –

Candidates
Name, employment history, educational qualifications, CVs/LinkedIn profiles, location, salary and contact details.

Clients
Contact details such as name, work address, telephone number, work email address and current and previous job titles and employers.

Where we collect personal data from

The data we collect is obtained from various sources –

  • LinkedIn profiles

  • Press announcements / articles

  • By reference or word of mouth – recommendations by colleagues, friends, former or current employers

  • Directly from candidates – provided during direct discussions

We will initially obtain basic information available through publicly available sources. If candidates express an interest in a specific project, we collect further information directly from candidates as they progress through our search process.

How we use personal data?

We may use your personal data for various reasons which include –

Candidates
For the purpose of highlighting projects we are engaged in which we consider you potentially suitable for or as required by law, regulatory bodies or tax or audit purposes.

Clients
For the purpose of providing you with project information as per our agreed terms and conditions, marketing communication or as required by law, regulatory bodies or tax or audit purposes.

Contact methods

We may contact candidates and clients by social media, email or telephone.

Your rights

In terms of data protection legislation, you have a number of rights as detailed below. Further information and advice on your rights can be obtained from the data protection regulator in your country.

Right to be informed
You have the right to be provided with information about how we use your information and your rights, as detailed in this policy.

Right of access
You have the right to access the personal data stored on our database.  On request, we will provide you with copied of all the information we hold which is relevant to you.  This will allow you to check the accuracy of the information and that we are using it in accordance with data protection law.

Right to rectification
You have the right to correct your own personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete.

Right of erasure
If you feel that there is no longer a need for the Company to keep your personal data, you can request that it be permanently erased from our records.

Right to restrict processing
You have the right to block or suppress further use of your information.  In this event, we would simply retain the information for reference purposes only.

hould you exercise your right of access, you then also have the right to reuse your personal data for your own purposes.
